KITTIE KITTIE™ MAKES THE FIRST DONATION!
Baltimore, MD. April 19th, 2018
Kittie Kittie™ is making it’s first donation of $2000 to The Friends Helping Friends Foundation (FHFF). They are a 501c3, non-profit support group dedicating to improving the quality of life for both the citizens of the Cedar Rapids/Marion, Iowa community and the four-legged friends at the Cedar Rapids Animal Care and Control shelter (CRACC). They have been able to help animals medically, purchase cat condos, and offer rabies vaccine and microchip clinics for the public. Cedar Rapids Animal Care and Control has shared a wonderful success story about a Kittie named Cane and his adopter Kris:
“Cane, the 9-yr old, brown tiger feline has officially been adopted from Cedar Rapids Animal Care and Control. Kris, his adopter, has fostered many cats and kittens over the last 20 years or so, but has never kept one. Her house was very empty after losing her 17-year old Siamese, Lydia. Shelter Director, Diane Webber, told her about Cane and how depressed he was after his previous owner passed away and he was left at the shelter. Poor Cane wouldn't even lift his up his head and spent all of his time hiding in his cage depressed. She contacted Kris and told her about Cane and how she could help him and he could help her. Kris took him home as a foster. They helped each other so much over the next few weeks - Cane slowly came out of his shell and learned to trust Kris, and Kris found the new furry companionship she missed after losing Lydia. They bonded - and better yet, Cane is now friends with her rabbit too!
This was really a match made in heaven : ”
